classification of human intellegence
According to psychologists, intelligence is classified into four types:
- Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
- Emotional Quotient (EQ)
- Social Quotient (SQ)
- Adversity Quotient (AQ)
1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
This measures cognitive abilities, including problem-solving skills, memory, and the ability to learn and retain lessons.
2. Emotional Quotient (EQ)
This measures your ability to maintain harmony with others, be punctual, responsible, honest, respect boundaries, stay humble, be genuine, and show empathy.
3. Social Quotient (SQ)
This reflects your ability to build and maintain a network of friends over a long period.
People with high EQ and SQ tend to succeed more in life compared to those with only high IQ but lower EQ and SQ. This is because society often lacks awareness about the importance of emotional and social intelligence. Schools primarily focus on improving IQ, while EQ and SQ receive little attention.
A person with high IQ may end up working for someone with high EQ and SQ, even if the latter has an average IQ.
Your EQ represents your character, while your SQ reflects your charismatic personality.
Develop habits that improve all three quotients, especially EQ and SQ.
4. Adversity Quotient (AQ)
This measures your ability to handle challenges in life without losing control.
When facing difficulties, AQ determines who gives up, who abandons their responsibilities, and who might even contemplate extreme actions.
A message to parents:
Please prepare your children not just for academic excellence but also for the various challenges of life. Teach them to endure hardships, develop resilience, and navigate struggles with patience.
Focus on building their IQ, EQ, SQ, and AQ. Raise them to be well-rounded individuals capable of independent decision-making.
Instead of preparing the road for your children, prepare your children for the road.
